Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in software development. Certification in security standards such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140-compliant certification is required. Demonstrated expertise in Java object-oriented programming, MVC application development, and relational database interaction using JPA/Hibernate and JPQL is essential. Candidates should be proficient with version control systems like Git, build tools such as Maven, Ant, or Gradle, and familiar with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins. Experience with enterprise technologies including J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, EJB, XML, and application servers like JBoss is highly desirable. A solid understanding of secure coding practices aligned with DoD cybersecurity standards is also necessary. Additional skills in client-side frameworks, JavaScript libraries, reporting tools, and test automation frameworks will be advantageous.
