Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Full Stack Engineer. The Full Stack Engineer will design, develop, and maintain
web applications that support UMATTR’s AI
education platform, from front-end user interfaces to back-end services and APIs. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing responsive and accessible UI components, integrating
data sources and third-party services, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability and
security across the stack. The role involves collaborating with product, design, and content teams to deliver features, participating in code reviews, writing tests, and contributing to architectural decisions and continuous improvement of the engineering workflow.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Full-Stack Development and Software Development skills, with experience building and deploying web applications end-to-end.
- Candidates should possess solid Front-End Development skills, including proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, accessible interfaces.
- Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development skills, such as working with server-side frameworks, RESTful APIs, databases, and authentication mechanisms.
- Candidates should possess experience with version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization, and security best practices is beneficial.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or previous work on education/learning platforms is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
