About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Maryland Heights, MO, supporting future franchise programs within Boeing. This role involves the development of sophisticated software solutions for the next-generation Mission Planning system designed for the Department of Defense. As a key member of a Scrum team, you will follow the SAFe
Agile methodology to deliver high-quality weapon planning software. The system utilizes a
microservices architecture, with front-end components built using
JavaScript and
React, and back-end services primarily developed in
C#. Your contributions will directly impact critical defense missions, ensuring the delivery of reliable, efficient, and innovative software products.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or data science, along with at least 5 years of software development experience. Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance. Proficiency in programming languages including
JavaScript,
TypeScript,
React,
C#, and/or C++ is essential. Experience with
REST APIs, version control tools like
Git, and
Agile development methodologies is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical, especially in collaborative environments involving cross-functional teams. Familiarity with unit and integration
testing, system validation, and secure coding practices will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain weapon planning software throughout its lifecycle, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to analyze customer requirements and translate them into effective software designs.
- Support the development, enhancement, and optimization of software functionalities, including system integrations and interfaces.
- Document architectures, requirements, algorithms, and interface specifications to ensure clarity and maintainability.
- Debug and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain software performance and stability.
- Develop and improve software development processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and validation activities to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
