About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Lockheed Martin. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with other senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop and enhance sophisticated data analytics solutions and support agile development initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software systems that underpin critical analytic missions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph (FSP). A minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs of similar scope, complexity, and nature is required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution is essential; alternatively, four (4) additional years of relevant SWE experience can substitute for a formal degree. Candidates should demonstrate extensive experience in designing, developing, testing, and debugging software solutions, particularly on Linux operating systems. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java is essential, along with a solid understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and system integration techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex software systems supporting analytic missions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, develop technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration of software components.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure software quality through rigorous validation processes such as DAT, UAT/SME validation, smoke testing, and system-level testing prior to deployment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Support mission-critical operations by troubleshooting and resolving complex software issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
