Full Stack Developer — Loan Officer Hub / CRM (Mortgage Industry)

Belong Lending, a mortgage company based in the Detroit, MI area, is looking for an experienced full stack developer to take over and continue building our internal Loan Officer Hub / CRM platform.

The platform was built by a previous freelance developer with AI-assisted development, and is functional but has several features that need fixing and new integrations to build out.

Tech stack:

  • Frontend: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript
  • Backend: NestJS, TypeORM, PostgreSQL (hosted on Neon)
  • Infra: Vercel, GitHub, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS S3
  • Integrations: Firebase (MFA), ARIVE API, UWM API, UWM Conditions API, Anthropic/Claude, plus a custom AI agent (OpenClaw + Telegram, via MCP)

What you'll be doing:

  • Fixing existing broken/partial features, including automations tied to the UWM and ARIVE APIs, pipeline display, and mass email/event dashboard functionality
  • Building new integrations, including a webhooks-based lending activity dashboard, Outlook/Azure calendar sync for loan officers, an AI video editor, a realtor listing generator, and a PropertyRadar leads integration
  • General UI/UX improvements across the platform
  • Working directly with the business owner and reviewing/extending code from a prior developer and AI-assisted work

What we're looking for:

  • Strong hands-on experience with NestJS (or comparable Node/TypeScript backend frameworks) and React/Next.js
  • Comfortable working with PostgreSQL/TypeORM and third-party API integrations
  • Able to independently navigate and troubleshoot an existing codebase with limited documentation
  • Bonus: experience in mortgage/lending, fintech, or with UWM specifically
  • Bonus: exposure to LLM/AI agent integration (Claude, OpenAI, MCP, etc.)

Engagement: Open to discussing hourly, fixed-price, or ongoing retainer depending on fit — flexible based on the right candidate.

How to apply: Send your resume along with any relevant NestJS/React project examples (GitHub links welcome). Strong candidates may be asked to complete a small paid trial task before a longer-term engagement.
