Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 5–7 years of professional software development experience in enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with Django or equivalent Python web frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI)
- Strong proficiency in Python programming
- Experience with Git and enterprise source control practices
- Relational database experience, preferably with MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of application architecture, security principles, and backend best practices
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman
- Familiarity with asynchronous task processing frameworks like Celery
- Exposure to observability and logging solutions such as Vector or similar tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using Python and Django or similar frameworks
- Participate in system architecture, design discussions, and technical decision-making processes
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services aligned with enterprise standards
- Collaborate with product management, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and efficient solution delivery
- Ensure high code quality through unit testing, peer reviews, and adherence to coding standards
- Manage source control using Git, following enterprise versioning and branching strategies
- Implement database schemas, optimize queries, and support relational database management
- Support automation, configuration, and deployment activities utilizing Ansible
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application and production issues promptly
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on routine projects
