Role Description The ASP
.NET Software Engineer contract role is a remote position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining back-end services and APIs that power Kimiyi AI’s digital human platform. Day-to-day tasks include implementing new features in ASP
.NET, optimizing existing code for performance and scalability, integrating with front-end and third-party systems, and ensuring secure, reliable
data flows. The engineer will collaborate with product, AI, and front-end teams to translate technical requirements into robust solutions, perform code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and support debugging and issue resolution in production environments. This role also involves contributing to architectural discussions, documenting technical designs, and following best practices in software engineering and deployment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development with ASP.NET, RESTful APIs, and database integration.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming using C# or related languages within the .NET ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS) and CI/CD pipelines is highly beneficial.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code, with familiarity in unit and integration testing.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in AI-driven applications, real-time systems, or digital avatar technologies is a plus.
