# Senior Software Engineer


## About the Role


SeatGeek is seeking Senior Software Engineers to join its R&D team and help modernize and simplify the live-event ticketing industry. This role focuses on building and scaling business-critical software in a fast-paced environment, solving complex technical challenges, and delivering products that improve experiences for performers, venues, and fans.


Successful candidates bring strong software engineering experience, a product mindset, a commitment to software craftsmanship, and an ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines. Engineers will work with a modern, containerized, service-oriented architecture and use AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining SeatGeek’s technical and product standards.


## Key Responsibilities


* Build, operate, and scale modern containerized, service-oriented software systems.

* Ship production code multiple times a day using industry-leading software development practices.

* Solve complex performance and scalability challenges for a growing technology platform.

* Develop solutions for high-traffic onsales, interactive venue maps, inventory tracking, event matching, and other ticketing challenges.

* Build performant, inclusive, and user-focused interfaces that enhance the SeatGeek brand and user experience.

* Evaluate new technologies and continuously improve the software stack.

* Leverage AI tools to bring ideas to production faster while maintaining technical and product standards.

* Work across teams and disciplines to develop and deliver high-quality products.

* Contribute to a data-driven business and scalable technology platform.

* Mentor teammates and learn from colleagues with diverse experiences.

* AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, or GitLab

* Aurora/Postgres, ElastiCache/Memcached, OpenSearch, or DynamoDB

* Kafka, Flink, Airflow, or Temporal

* Experience working with high-traffic systems, marketplaces, inventory systems, interactive interfaces, or event-matching technologies.
