Company Description

Samsung SDS GSCL Vietnam is part of Samsung SDS, a global provider of IT services and digital transformation solutions. The company develops advanced software platforms that support logistics, supply chain, and enterprise operations. Team members collaborate with international partners and stakeholders on products that improve global business efficiency. It offers opportunities to work with modern technologies, contribute to large-scale systems, and grow in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.

Role Description

This full-time remote Software Engineer role covers designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and applications for logistics and enterprise solutions. The engineer writes clean, efficient, testable code, implements APIs, and optimizes system performance and reliability.

Beyond core development, the role applies AI-assisted engineering and Harness Engineering practices: designing the environment, guardrails, and context that let AI coding agents work reliably and safely inside a real codebase. This includes defining agent instructions (AGENT.md / CLAUDE.md), project rules, reusable skills, memory, hooks, and MCP tool integrations, and continuously improving them based on how agents actually perform.

Daily responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting issues, contributing to technical design discussions, maintaining documentation, following secure coding and quality standards, and improving systems based on user and business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science: data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience in software development for production systems.
  • Proficiency in back-end web development, including building and integrating APIs with server-side frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and its practical application in modern languages.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control (Git), and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, design scalable solutions, and debug complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in remote, cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

AI & Harness Engineering

  • Agent instructions: writing and maintaining AGENT.md / CLAUDE.md files that encode architecture, conventions, build/test commands, and “do/don’t” rules for AI coding agents.
  • Rules & guardrails: defining scoped project rules and permission policies so agents follow coding standards and security requirements.
  • Skills: building reusable, task-specific skills (workflows, templates, scripts) that agents load on demand.
  • Memory: structuring persistent memory so agents retain project context and decisions across sessions.
  • Hooks: using lifecycle hooks to automate linting, testing, formatting, and validation before or after agent actions.
  • MCP tools: integrating and configuring Model Context Protocol servers to connect agents to external systems, APIs, and data sources.
  • Context engineering: curating, compressing, and sequencing context (files, docs, tool outputs) to improve agent accuracy and reduce token cost.
  • Agent workflows: applying sub-agents, task decomposition, plan-then-execute, and human-in-the-loop review, with evaluation of agent output quality.
