What You'll Actually Do
Your daily work centers on JavaScript/TypeScript development using React and Redux Toolkit within Toyota's established technical stack. You'll build and optimize NodeJS/Express solutions following Backend for Frontend principles, ensuring smooth data flow between configurator interfaces and Toyota's backend systems.
The role involves working with modern development concepts that actually matter in production: state management patterns, server-side rendering, static site generation, and immutability principles. You'll configure and optimize bundling tools like Webpack and Vite, because performance directly impacts user experience in automotive e-commerce.
You'll work within our CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions, monitor application health through DataDog or NewRelic, and implement automated testing with Playwright. Recently, we've integrated GitHub Copilot for enhanced development productivity—something that proves valuable in complex enterprise codebases.

Your Qualities And Skills As Front-End Developer (React)
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and React development experience gained through actual projects
- Working knowledge of Redux Toolkit and state management in production applications
- NodeJS/Express experience with Backend for Frontend implementation
- Experience with multiple frameworks proves more valuable than deep knowledge of just one
- Understanding of SSR/SSG, immutability, and functional vs object-oriented programming approaches
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (DataDog, NewRelic) and automated testing frameworks
- Experience configuring and optimizing bundling tools (Webpack, Vite)
- Fluent English for daily collaboration with international colleagues and client teams
