About Albertine
Albertine builds white-label digital concierge experiences for luxury brands and their members. Our frontend spans member-facing concierge multi-tenant apps, LMT — the internal platform agents use to manage members and operations — plus shared component libraries, landing pages, and embeddable experiences.
The Opportunity
We’re hiring a product engineer with a frontend focus to ship polished member and agent experiences alongside our design and product teams. You’ll own features end-to-end: shaping UX with design, implementing in React, integrating with our APIs, and iterating from real feedback. You’re not here to paint tickets: you’re here to improve the product.
You’ll collaborate closely with design from exploration through polish: pushing on UX, proposing alternatives, and closing the gap between intent and production (states, motion, edge cases, responsiveness). Luxury detail matters here: “good enough” often isn’t luxury.
We work AI-native. Coding agents are part of how we build, prototype, and refactor. You still own taste, architecture, and review. Speed without judgment isn’t the bar.
This is a fully remote role on a distributed, async-first engineering team.
What You'll Do
- Ship React + TypeScript product work across Concierge, LMT, shared web libraries, and related frontend surfaces
- Partner with design and product end-to-end: explore options, prototype, implement, and refine
- Own the UI craft: interaction quality, accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and the details that make luxury products feel right
- Integrate with our typed API client; collaborate on API contracts when needed
- Step into light API work when delivery requires it; not as a backend specialist, but as someone who can finish the feature
- Contribute to our multi-tenant design system and design-token theming
- Use coding agents as a default accelerator with clear specs, sharp review, and solid tests
- Write clearly for a remote team: design notes, PR descriptions, async updates
What We're Looking For
Must have
- 5+ years building production web apps with TypeScript
- Strong product instincts: you can work from incomplete specs, suggest better UX, and own outcomes — not just tasks
- Comfortable partnering tightly with design (Figma-level collaboration, translating intent into production UI, iterating on interaction details)
- Experience shipping complex UIs: multi-step flows, forms, data-heavy interfaces, responsive layouts
- Solid client-side architecture: state, routing, caching, and real-time UI patterns
- Experience with component libraries, Storybook, or design systems
- Fluency with a modern React stack (Vite, TanStack Query/Router or equivalent, Tailwind). Exact library match matters less than sharp product UI judgment
- Comfortable with AI-assisted / agentic development as day-to-day practice: supervising agents, reviewing output, and knowing when to slow down and craft by hand
- Effective remote collaboration: proactive communication, async documentation, direct feedback
Nice to have
- White-label or multi-tenant UI experience
- Motion / animation craft in production UIs
- Graphic, product, or motion design background
- Backend experience with public or internal REST APIs
- Mobile experience (iOS and/or Android)
- WebGL experience
- Sentry, analytics, or i18n in production apps
- Google Cloud familiarity
