About The Role

As an Engineer at Bask Health, you will work directly with the CEO and CTO to design, develop, and optimize our core software infrastructure that forms the backbone of our telehealth platform. This role demands a highly skilled full-stack developer with a deep entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building scalable, reliable, and AI-integrated healthcare solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare technology by creating end-to-end features, integrating AI workflows, and ensuring our platform meets the highest standards of performance, accessibility, and trustworthiness. Your work will directly impact how healthcare providers and patients interact with technology, making a tangible difference in clinical outcomes and patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a proven track record of taking products from concept to deployment.
• Expertise in frontend technologies including React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong backend skills with experience in tRPC, Drizzle ORM, SQL, Node.js, and SST.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own projects or significant portions of a codebase.
• Experience building and maintaining paid products or services is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with React Native or Expo is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical challenges, constraints, and timelines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with minimal supervision.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for healthcare innovation and disruption.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality product features that enhance the telehealth platform’s capabilities.
• Own key surfaces end-to-end, from initial concept through to production, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
• Write well-structured, thoroughly tested code, maintaining a robust test suite to ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate across the full technology stack, following features from user interface to database, with no handoffs or delays.
• Leverage AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to explore, prototype, and refine features, integrating AI as a core part of the development process.
• Rapidly prototype solutions and validate them with real users, including patients and care teams, to ensure clinical accuracy and usability.
• Translate product requirements into scalable, reusable architecture patterns that facilitate faster development of future features.
• Build transparent and trustworthy automation systems that clearly communicate AI actions to users, fostering trust and compliance.
• Prioritize performance, accessibility, and reliability, working with the team to optimize and debug the platform continually.
• Document AI workflows, prompts, and patterns to promote team-wide knowledge sharing and accelerate development cycles.
• Participate actively in a highly collaborative environment, sharing insights and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
