About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer for PLD Hardware / FPGA Development to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing hardware description language (HDL) designs, primarily focusing on programmable logic devices (PLDs) and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, simulate, and verify hardware modules that meet stringent aerospace safety and performance standards. Your expertise will contribute to the development of critical avionics systems that ensure the safety and reliability of our aircraft products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge hardware development projects within a globally recognized aerospace company.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hardware description languages such as VHDL or Verilog, with proven experience in FPGA design and development. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required. Prior experience in aerospace or safety-critical systems is highly desirable. Candidates should have a solid understanding of digital circuit design, simulation tools, and hardware testing methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are essential. Knowledge of industry standards such as DO-254 or similar certification requirements will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement HDL-based hardware modules for PLDs and FPGAs, ensuring compliance with aerospace safety and quality standards. Collaborate with hardware and system engineers to define hardware requirements and specifications. Conduct simulations and hardware testing to verify functionality and performance. Participate in the integration of hardware components into larger avionics systems, providing technical support during development and troubleshooting phases. Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, test procedures, and validation results. Stay current with technological advancements in FPGA and hardware development, recommending improvements and innovative solutions to enhance product performance and reliability.
