RVStaffing is partnering with a fast-growing video game publisher to identify an exceptional Software Engineer who is passionate about building products, leveraging AI, and creating scalable technology solutions that empower game developers worldwide.

This publisher works with hundreds of independent game studios, helping them launch, manage, grow, and monetize their games. As the company continues to scale, they are looking for a highly autonomous engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments, embraces AI-first development practices, and enjoys taking ownership of products from concept to deployment.

This is not a traditional software engineering role. We are looking for someone who sees AI as a force multiplier, actively incorporates agentic workflows into their daily development process, and is excited about shaping the future of software development in a modern, AI-enabled organization.

Position Summary

The Software Engineer will play a key role in building, scaling, and maintaining products across the company's game publishing and management ecosystem. This individual will own projects end-to-end, from implementation and deployment through production support and continuous improvement. Working within a lean, highly collaborative team, the successful candidate will help drive product innovation while leveraging AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and increase engineering efficiency.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a builder mentality, excellent product instincts, and a passion for using AI tools to maximize impact.

What You'll Do

Full-Stack Product Development

• Design, build, and deploy features across the company's publishing platform and internal products.
• Take ownership of projects from planning and development through deployment and production support.
• Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions using modern web technologies.
• Collaborate closely with product, operations, and leadership teams to deliver business-critical functionality.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.

AI-First Engineering

• Utilize AI-powered development tools as a core part of your engineering workflow.
• Leverage tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and other agentic development platforms to improve productivity and code quality.
• Experiment with and implement emerging AI-driven engineering practices.
• Continuously identify opportunities to automate repetitive development tasks and improve team efficiency.
• Help shape best practices around AI-assisted software development across the organization.

Platform & Infrastructure Development

• Contribute to the evolution of shared platform infrastructure and internal tooling.
• Support integrations, workflows, and backend systems that power business operations and game publishing activities.
• Work with cloud-based services and infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Assist in maintaining secure and efficient deployment pipelines.

Ownership & Problem Solving

• Troubleshoot production issues and proactively resolve technical challenges.
• Monitor application performance and system stability.
• Take full ownership of your work and drive projects through completion with minimal oversight.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, speed, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring To The Team

• Strong professional experience with React and Next.js.
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience working with AWS services and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted coding tools in real-world software development environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and modern engineering best practices.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in low-process, high-autonomy environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong ownership mentality and commitment to delivering results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar agentic development tools.
• Experience building SaaS, marketplace, platform, gaming, or creator-focused products.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows.
• Experience working in startup or high-growth technology environments.
• Passion for gaming, technology, and emerging AI trends.
• Experience supporting products from launch through ongoing production operations.
