Senior Full-Stack Developer – Healthcare & FHIR

Neurithum | Full-time or Part-time | Remote (Nepal)

Neurithum is building an AI-powered clinical platform for Australian healthcare and aged care. We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer to lead healthcare integrations, strengthen backend architecture, prepare our platform for production, and mentor junior developers.

Key focus: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, HL7 FHIR, healthcare interoperability, and production delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build APIs integrating clinical systems, external platforms, and Australian government services.
• Implement HL7 FHIR, including resource mapping, profiles, validation, and clinical data exchange.
• Develop and maintain full-stack features, databases, and deployment workflows.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, security controls, and recovery processes.
• Support Australian government integrations, conformance testing, and technical documentation.
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and guide technical decisions.
• Collaborate with clinical and AI teams to ensure safe and reliable healthcare data handling.

Required Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, and full-stack engineering.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with clinical software, EHR/EMR systems, or healthcare integration platforms.
• Practical experience implementing HL7 FHIR in real-world projects.
• Experience delivering healthcare solutions for organisations in Australia, the United States, or Europe.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS, and production deployments.
• Understanding of healthcare privacy, security, access controls, audit trails, and sensitive-data handling.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, code review, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

• Australian B2G integrations, Services Australia, or Australian Digital Health Agency projects.
• Familiarity with My Health Record, HI Service, NASH, and NOC/conformance testing.
• Experience with AU Core FHIR, SMART on FHIR, SNOMED CT-AU, or Australian Medicines Terminology.
• Experience integrating AI into clinical workflows.
