About The Role

We are seeking motivated recent graduates with a background in computer science or related fields to join our early career program. As a Software Engineer at Affirm, you will be paired with experienced mentors and have the opportunity to work on impactful projects across various technology stacks. This hybrid program combines in-office collaboration in New York City or San Francisco with remote work flexibility, giving you the best of both worlds. Over the course of one year, you will develop your technical skills, contribute to core projects, and gain valuable industry experience. Upon completion, you can choose to continue in a hybrid, remote, or office-based role, depending on your preference and team needs. This position offers a unique chance to launch your career in a fast-paced, innovative environment that values growth, collaboration, and impact.

Qualifications

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Proven ability to develop solutions that interact with multiple software components
• Experience in writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code
• Comfort navigating large codebases and debugging complex issues
• Strong ownership mindset and proactive approach to personal growth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration
