About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Maryland Heights, MO, supporting our future franchise programs. This role is pivotal in developing the next-generation Mission Planning system for the Department of Defense. As part of a dynamic scrum team, you will utilize the SAFe
Agile methodology to design, develop, and maintain weapon planning software that incorporates
microservices architecture. The system primarily employs
JavaScript and
React for the front-end and
C# for back-end services, requiring a candidate with extensive experience in these technologies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of relevant software development experience. Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance is essential. Candidates should have proficiency in programming languages such as
JavaScript,
TypeScript,
React,
C#, and C++, and experience with
REST APIs, version control systems like
Git, and
Agile development tools such as Jira or
Azure DevOps. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are vital, along with prior experience working in cross-functional teams on complex projects. Preferred qualifications include extensive experience in defense or aerospace software, knowledge of cybersecurity principles, and familiarity with open architecture systems.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of weapon planning software throughout its entire lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial software designs.
- Develop, enhance, and optimize software functionalities for system integrations and performance improvements.
- Document architectures, requirements, interfaces, algorithms, and designs to ensure clarity and maintainability.
- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and validation activities, including unit and system testing.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of software processes and best practices.
