This role is appropriate for entry-level to early-career engineering candidates eager to build scalable software for Voltus.

You will join a fully remote team tackling complex energy industry challenges, collaborating with experienced engineers on a modern tech stack, and contributing to core systems that decarbonize the grid.

Base pay is $110,000-$140,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience, with a 10% annual bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code to support the team’s projects.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and services.
• Collaborate with your team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the production environment.
• Participate in code reviews to learn from and contribute to the team’s shared knowledge.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

What we are looking for

• A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Foundational programming skills in a backend language like Python.
• A strong desire to learn and grow as a software engineer.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A genuine passion for creating a cleaner, more resilient energy future.
• Authorization to work in the US or Canada without sponsorship.
