About The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Supernova Technology, you will hold a vital role in shaping the architecture and technical vision of our cloud-based Security-Based Lending (SBL) SaaS platform. Your primary responsibility will be to design scalable, high-performance, and secure systems that underpin our business services and APIs. This role requires a technical leader passionate about software design, architecture, and emerging technologies, with a proven track record of developing and evolving complex software systems. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, particularly in backend development, ETL job design, or Web Service API development.
- Proficiency in Java with Spring Boot or comparable expertise in Python and Pandas for backend development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda development using Python is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Java or Python libraries relevant to backend systems.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of our platform software modules, ensuring high quality and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into actionable technical tasks.
- Ensure timely delivery of scalable, maintainable, and secure technical solutions that meet business needs.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing to the overall technical strategy and vision.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality and system reliability.
- Continuously enhance the performance, security, and reliability of web services and ETL jobs.
- Address technical debt, refactor code when necessary, and improve development processes and practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in API and ETL development, sharing insights with the team.
