About The Role

The role builds user-facing interfaces that thousands of customers interact with daily — owning frontend architecture, performance, and accessibility for a core product surface.

Working closely with product designers and backend engineers, the team ships features weekly in a React/TypeScript codebase where bundle size, render performance, and type safety are treated as first-class engineering concerns, not afterthoughts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex React components with TypeScript, including state management patterns using Redux Toolkit or Zustand
  • Own feature delivery end-to-end: wireframe review, API contract negotiation with backend teams, implementation, testing, and rollout
  • Optimize rendering performance — bundle analysis, code splitting, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals improvements
  • Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, handling caching strategies, optimistic updates, and error states
  • Implement and maintain accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and responsive layouts across breakpoints
  • Write unit and integration tests with Jest and React Testing Library; contribute to E2E coverage with Playwright
  • Participate in design reviews, RFCs, and code reviews that shape frontend architecture across the org

What We Are Looking For

  • 3–6 years of frontend engineering experience building production web applications at scale
  • Deep proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS (Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or CSS Modules)
  • Experience with state management at scale and debugging complex rendering/performance issues
  • Hands-on experience with build tooling (Vite or Webpack), CI pipelines, and browser dev tooling
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong communication skills and a track record of collaborating directly with designers and backend engineers
  • Bonus: Experience with Next.js, server-side rendering, WebGL/D3 visualizations, or design systems work
