Role Description The Lead Web Developer role is a full-time, remote position responsible for guiding the technical direction and execution of DBByte’s web platforms and tools. This role includes architecting and implementing scalable web applications, leading front-end and back-end development efforts, and ensuring best practices in performance, security, and maintainability. The Lead Web Developer collaborates closely with product, design, and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into robust solutions, review code, mentor other developers, and help define development standards. Day-to-day work involves hands-on coding, technical planning, troubleshooting complex issues, and continuous improvement of the web stack to support DBByte’s customers and internal teams.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Web Development skills, including experience building and maintaining modern web applications.
  • Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development skills focused on scalable APIs, data access layers, and integration with cloud infrastructure.
  • Candidates should possess Front-End Development skills using contemporary frameworks, responsive layouts, and accessible user interfaces.
  • Candidates should possess solid Programming skills in one or more languages commonly used for web applications (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar).
  • Candidates should possess Web Design awareness, including understanding of UX principles, usability, and collaboration with design teams.
  • Experience leading technical projects or teams, conducting code reviews, and establishing coding standards.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization, security best practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in a remote environment, and commitment to inclusive, collaborative teamwork.
