About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Engineer to join our client’s innovative team based in Cambridge (CB25). This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, class="bg-amber-100">testing, and optimization of software systems within a high-tech manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting production test class="bg-amber-100">automation, new product introduction (NPI), and the continuous improvement of engineering processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Software Engineer will help streamline manufacturing operations, enhance product quality, and drive class="bg-amber-100">automation initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Software Engineering, class="bg-amber-100">Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proven experience in developing software for test class="bg-amber-100">automation or manufacturing environments is essential. Familiarity with configuration control and software release processes is required to ensure smooth deployment and updates. Candidates should have experience with tools such as LabVIEW (preferred), along with class="bg-amber-100">programming languages like class="bg-amber-100">Python or C/class="bg-amber-100">C++. Strong troubleshooting skills for software and embedded systems within hardware-integrated environments are critical.
