Role Description<
/strong>The Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend services and data pipelines that power GeoSnake’s AI visibility and analytics platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing APIs, integrating with external AI and data sources, optimizing performance and scalability, and writing clean, maintainable code following modern software engineering practices. The role involves collaborating with product and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, participating in code reviews, improving system reliability, and contributing to architectural decisions. This is a full-time remote role, requiring regular communication, documentation, and proactive ownership of features from concept through deployment and monitoring.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-quality applications or services.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, building and maintaining APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design patterns.
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript, Go) and version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), databases, and containerization or orchestration tools is beneficial.
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or SEO/GEO concepts is a plus, along with interest in AI-driven products and data-intensive systems.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly, collaborate across disciplines, and continuously learn new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
