Qualifications
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript and TypeScript, with extensive experience in React or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience working with headless CMS platforms, preferably Sanity, and structured content models.
- Strong understanding of web performance metrics, including Core Web Vitals, and experience optimizing media assets and page load times.
- Deep commitment to accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines, semantic markup, and keyboard navigation.
- Knowledge of internationalization and localization best practices, with experience supporting multilingual content workflows.
- Experience collaborating with non-engineering teams—designers, content creators, and marketers—to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Understanding of SEO, analytics, and A/B testing to inform feature development and optimize user engagement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning and improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own the development and maintenance of frontend interfaces across Sierra’s core product and marketing platforms, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality user experience.
- Design and implement content infrastructure within our CMS to empower marketing and content teams with self-serve tools, structured content models, and preview workflows.
- Partner with marketing, sales, and operations teams to embed analytics, enable experimentation, and translate business objectives into measurable features.
- Support localization and internationalization efforts by developing multilingual content workflows and translation infrastructure.
- Optimize website performance by managing media assets, improving load times, and diagnosing subtle issues affecting speed and responsiveness.
- Champion accessibility by implementing semantic markup, ensuring keyboard navigation, and supporting screen readers to make our platforms usable for all.
- Stay updated with emerging web standards and best practices, continuously refining the frontend architecture to meet evolving user needs.
