FUBER LLC is a software company building high-performance, secure, government-grade web platforms and content management systems for international and public-sector clients. We're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of website and CMS projects — from architecture and development through deployment, security, and handover.

You'll lead delivery on document-heavy knowledge platforms (advanced search, user roles, multimedia, analytics) built on WordPress and modern engineering practices, hosted on cloud infrastructure with Docker-based DevOps. This is a remote role with collaboration across international development and public-sector projects.

What You'll Do

- Own the technical architecture, development, and deployment of WordPress/CMS-based websites and web applications

- Configure and customize CMS platforms, custom themes, plugins, and role-based access control

- Set up secure, scalable hosting (Azure/AWS), Docker containerization, SSL, backups, and CI/CD

- Implement SEO best practices, performance optimization, and WCAG accessibility

- Define and enforce coding standards; review code; mentor junior team members

- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to clear written documentation and reports

What We're Looking For

- Master's degree in Computer Science (or closely related field)

- 5+ years of professional website design and development experience

- Strong, hands-on expertise with WordPress (or equivalent CMS), PHP, MySQL, and Apache (Nginx a plus)

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (incl. jQuery), AJAX; modern stack (Node.js, React) a strong plus

- Experience with Docker and cloud hosting (Azure / AWS)

- Knowledge of SEO, Google Webmaster Tools, Google Developer Tools, and mobile/responsive optimization

- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong report-drafting skills

- Ability to manage simultaneous tasks in a process-oriented, deadline-driven way

Nice to Have

- Prior experience delivering web platforms for the UN, NGOs, government, or international organizations

- Experience in Africa / South Sudan or the region

- Web accessibility (WCAG) and security-hardening experience

How to Apply
