You start your day wherever you work best. From home or from our office in Struga. 

The day begins with a short stand-up together with colleagues from different countries. No endless meetings. Just a clear plan, technical discussions, and a team that enjoys building great software together. 

From there, you dive into challenging software projects for clients in the Netherlands and beyond. One moment you’re developing scalable backend functionality in Laravel. The next you’re building intuitive user interfaces in React or contributing to mobile applications. 

You’ll be involved throughout the complete software development lifecycle; from technical analysis and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. 

We’re looking for a developer who understands business needs, thinks in scalable solutions, and genuinely cares about building clean, secure, maintainable software.

What will you be working on? 

As a Full Stack Developer at OrangeMelons, you’ll play an important role in building, improving, and maintaining both web and mobile applications within an international development team. 

Your responsibilities include: 

• Develop and maintain backend applications using PHP Laravel. 
• Build modern frontend interfaces using React. 
• Work with REST APIs and integrations with external systems. 
• Write clean, secure, and maintainable code. 
• Collaborate with designers, frontend developers, backend developers, testers, and product owners. 
• Participate in technical discussions and help improve architecture and code quality. 
• Review code and support other team members where needed. 
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications. 
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment. 
• This is a role for developers who enjoy ownership, collaboration, technical challenges, and continuous improvement. 

Your playground: Laravel, React & modern software development 

You’ll work with a modern technology stack including: 

• Backend: PHP Laravel 
• Frontend: React 
• Mobile: React Native 
• Languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript 
• APIs: REST APIs and backend integrations 
• Databases: MySQL or PostgreSQL 
• Version Control: Git and modern development workflows 
• Methodology: Agile / Scrum 

You’ll also work in an environment where software architecture, security, performance, scalability, and code quality are taken seriously. 

Experience with one or more of the following is considered a strong plus: 

• Azure or other cloud platforms 
• Docker 
• CI/CD pipelines 
• Testing frameworks 
• Additional experience with the Laravel ecosystem and frameworks 
• Experience working with international clients 
• Additional knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development

Who are you? 

You’re not a developer who simply completes tickets.

You: 

• You have atleast 5 years of experience as a Fullstack developer and have strong experience with PHP, especially Laravel. 
• Have solid knowledge of React. 
• Preferably have experience with React Native for mobile application development. 
• Have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript. 
• Have experience working with REST APIs and backend integrations. 
• Have good knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL. 
• Have experience working with Git and modern development workflows. 
• Understand software architecture, security, and application performance. 
• Write clean, structured, reusable, secure, and maintainable code. 
• Communicate confidently in English. 
• Have a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. 
• Understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions. 
• Enjoy collaborating with other engineers and multidisciplinary teams. 
• Like asking questions, sharing ideas, and continuously improving both yourself and the software you’re building.
