Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer for a Remote role. This is a full-time opportunity for a Software Engineer to support an existing production platform by maintaining the codebase, resolving technical issues, and delivering new features through clearly defined projects. The role focuses on working within an established full-stack application rather than creating new architecture, collaborating with the engineering team to improve system reliability and functionality. The platform supports compliance workflows for autonomous technologies operating in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
Triage and resolve maintenance backlog items, including bug fixes, performance improvements, dependency updates, and infrastructure maintenance
Develop and deliver new features within a full-stack application using TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS
Build and maintain workflows that support regulatory compliance processes for autonomous technology operators
Utilize AI-assisted coding tools while reviewing, validating, and explaining generated code changes
Write clean, well-documented code with small, reviewable commits and pull requests
Identify and communicate potential security or reliability concerns related to AI-powered functionality
Collaborate with the engineering team to complete defined development tasks within an existing production codebase
Assist with maintaining application stability, performance, and reliability
Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Professional experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, and Docker
Experience deploying applications on AWS using infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
Experience using Git and GitHub, including creating clean pull requests and maintaining an organized commit history
Experience contributing to and maintaining an existing production codebase rather than exclusively developing new applications from scratch
Experience using AI coding tools while understanding, validating, and explaining generated code
Working knowledge of language models, including their capabilities, limitations, and security considerations
Experience working in aviation, defense, or another regulated industry is preferred
Customer-facing experience is preferred
Benefits
Competitive base salary of $95,000-$120,000, depending on experience
