About The Role

Within the Genospace team at Ontada, our mission is to be the leading information platform for applied precision medicine. Our interdisciplinary team merges genomics, healthcare, data analytics, web development, and cloud computing to serve research, clinical development, pathology, and clinical care customers working with high-dimensional genomic and biomedical data. Many of the most advanced organizations in precision medicine are powered by Genospace.

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to building and delivering our Genospace software platform. As a key member of the team, you will help develop innovative solutions that enable clinicians and researchers worldwide to improve patient outcomes through advanced data-driven tools.

Your work will directly impact healthcare providers, researchers, and patients by enabling personalized medicine, advancing scientific research, and supporting clinical decision-making. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment dedicated to making a meaningful difference in healthcare.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in software development
  • Experience building web applications or data processing systems
  • Familiarity with web technologies and proficiency in at least one common programming language
  • Experience with front-end development, back-end development, and database technologies
  • Ability to design software solutions that meet functional and technical requirements
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Educational background in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy features within our web-based, cloud-hosted applications
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure high-quality software
  • Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and designers to understand requirements and develop effective solutions
  • Help shape and improve engineering processes, tools, and best practices
  • Maintain and support existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into the platform
