he short version
We're building Linkeve — a social platform for people who love going out and meeting new people in real life. We're looking for a Full-Stack Developer: a hands-on builder who writes the first lines of code, owns every technical decision, and grows into the leader of our future engineering team.
This is not a "just take tickets" developer job. At this stage, you are the engineering team. You build it first — then you build the team that builds it.
The gist
Linkeve helps people discover events, connect with the people there, and helps hosts run those events and grow their crowd. Part social app, part event tool — with a bigger vision behind it that we'll walk you through in person. What we can say: the plan is sequenced, the first version is scoped, and the founder has lived this problem for years.
What you'll own
Now — build it (first 3–6 months):
- Architect and build the product end-to-end as a mobile-first web app (PWA): front end, back end, database, deployment — all of it.
- Ship a focused first version fast (event tools: creation, QR check-in, live data, guest lists), then expand into the fuller social product.
- Make the foundational technical calls — stack, architecture, data model — that we'll live with for years. You decide; you own the consequences.
- Get a real event running on the product. Working software over slideware.
Next — lead it:
- Hire and mentor the first engineers; set the standards and culture of how we build.
- Own security, reliability, and scaling as real users arrive.
- Sit beside the founder as the technical voice — in product decisions, in strategy, and in investor rooms.
Who we're looking for
Must-haves:
- Proven full-stack engineer — you've built and shipped complete products, not just contributed features.
- Deep comfort with modern JavaScript/TypeScript stacks (MERN — MongoDB, Express, React, Node — or close equivalents).
- Strong architectural judgment: you can design a system that ships fast now and scales later without a rewrite.
- Self-directed to a fault — you turn ambiguity into working software without anyone managing you.
- Hands-on and proud of it. If you've "outgrown coding," this isn't your role.
Zero experience requirement. Junior or senior, self-taught or degree-holder — we don't care. If you can build a LinkedIn-type app from the ground up, without leaning on AI to do it for you, we already love you. Proof beats pedigree.
Strong signals (not all required):
- You've led or mentored engineers before, even informally.
- Experience with consumer, social, or content products — feeds, chat, real-time features, mobile/PWA.
- You've been early at a startup before, or built and launched your own product.
- Product sense: you push back on features, not just build them.
Who thrives here:
- You want a company you part-own, not a job title.
- You're honest, direct, and comfortable disagreeing with the founder — then committing.
- The uncertainty of pre-launch excites you more than it scares you.
The honest part
- This is a founding role at a pre-launch startup. High ownership, high uncertainty. Most of the reward is in what we build together.
- Compensation is equity-first: a meaningful founding stake (with standard vesting), plus modest cash that grows as we raise and earn. If you need a market salary today, this genuinely isn't the right time to join us — and that's okay.
- You'll do everything for a while. Code, deploy, fix, decide, repeat. The leadership part is earned as the team grows.
- We believe in radical honesty both ways — we'll tell you exactly where the company stands, and we expect the same from you.
Why this role is worth it
- A founding stake in the company — you own a real piece of what you build.
- Total technical ownership — the architecture, the stack, the standards: yours.
- A true partner seat — shaping product and strategy with the founder, not executing someone else's spec.
- The ground floor — very few people ever get to be the first engineer and the technical leader of the same company.
- A mission with heart — helping people feel less alone and actually connect in real life.
How to apply — skip the CV
Send us two things:
- Projects you've actually built — GitHub, live links, apps, anything real we can open and touch. Shipped work beats any résumé.
- A short video (2–3 minutes) telling us: who you are, why we should hire you, what your dreams are, and what you love doing in your free time. Phone camera is fine.
One rule: no AI slop. Be real. We don't care how you speak or how you look — we care about your values and your dreams.

Linkeve is an equal-opportunity team. We care about what you can build and how you think — not your background, age, or where you studied.
