For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $152,405 – $179,300 annually

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate core developer-infrastructure services, ensuring they are fast, reliable, and secure
  • Enhance key engineering metrics like build times, deploy speeds, and test feedback times
  • Own components end to end, including implementation, testing, and monitoring
  • Write high-quality, observable code ready for production from day one
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points and suggest platform improvements
  • Participate in technical design discussions and drive projects independently to completion
  • Share knowledge and conduct code reviews to elevate code quality within the team

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience building and operating production software and proficiency in languages like Go or similar
  • Proven track record of delivering backend or platform features, from implementation to production
  • Strong operational instincts focused on reliability, security, and observability of code
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead scoped projects with minimal guidance
  • Customer-focused mindset, measuring success based on system impact on engineers
  • Familiar with developer infrastructure domains such as CI/CD and build systems
  • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or containers
