Medior+ Front-end Developer

We are looking for a Medior+ Front-end Developer to join our team and help develop mission-critical applications that operate 24/7.

What You'll Do

• Develop and modernize the HaMIS (Harbor Master Management Information System) using React and TypeScript.
• Modernize legacy applications and migrate functionality to modern front-end technologies.
• Build reusable, well-tested UI components.
• Improve code quality through clean code practices, automated testing, and front-end architecture.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, business consultants, QA engineers, and fellow developers in Agile teams.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and software architecture.
• Resolve production incidents and help maintain highly available mission-critical systems.
• Champion secure software development and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience with React.
• Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Extensive experience with unit testing and component testing.
• Experience using Playwright and Storybook.
• Strong understanding of front-end architecture and reusable component design.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices.
• Ability to understand back-end services (Java knowledge is a plus).
• Fluent Dutch (spoken and written).
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after onboarding.

Nice to Have

• Kubernetes experience.
• CI/CD (GitLab).
• Microservices architecture.
• Performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Network troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating with back-end services.
• Experience working on mission-critical production systems.
