About The Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of core internal platform systems, contributing to their design and development from end to end. As a Software Engineer on the micro Platforms Core team, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing the internal tools, services, and workflows that support our operations and AI-driven infrastructure at scale. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that enable our internal teams to operate efficiently and effectively. Your work will directly impact the stability, scalability, and usability of our internal platforms, fostering a robust environment for innovation and growth.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in software development and a passion for building scalable systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in fullstack development, with proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks. A solid understanding of data modeling, database optimization, and API design is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to high-quality code. Prior experience contributing to production systems, particularly within a tech-driven organization like SaidGig, will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end fullstack systems that power critical internal workflows and platform capabilities.
• Build clean, scalable backend services and APIs with clear contracts and ownership.
• Develop high-quality, performant frontend interfaces for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Participate in data modeling and optimize database performance through schema design and query tuning.
• Collaborate closely with product, operations, and design teams to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable systems.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, and developer experience across internal tooling.
• Uphold engineering quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Help debug and resolve production issues while enhancing operational resilience.
• Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainability in a fast-moving environment.
