About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Full Stack Developer to join our Human Care Ecosystem Team in the United States. This team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Ōura's partnership integrations, healthcare solutions, and B2B products. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for understanding user needs, advocating for technical excellence, and delivering high-quality code. Initiative and end-to-end ownership are highly valued, as you will be involved in transforming rough ideas into concrete features or products, deploying solutions, and monitoring their effectiveness.
This role offers an opportunity to impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of users worldwide by expanding Ōura's use cases into new markets through strategic partnerships and healthcare initiatives. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to create accessible, responsive, and user-friendly experiences that meet high standards of security, compliance, and performance.
This position is primarily remote within the US, with some hybrid work expected from our San Francisco office. You will be part of a dynamic, globally distributed team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of practical full-stack web development experience, demonstrating a strong track record of building scalable and maintainable applications.
- Extensive proficiency with Typescript and modern client-side frameworks such as React. Experience with Python is a plus but not required.
- Proven ability to write well-structured, maintainable, and well-tested code that is easy to understand and extend.
- Experience architecting, deploying, and maintaining scalable web services on cloud platforms like AWS or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns, best practices, and security standards relevant to health and B2B applications.
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to balance short-term goals with long-term technical health.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude, with experience working in diverse, distributed teams.
- Provide technical leadership for full-stack development efforts, guiding technology choices and mentoring team members.
- Contribute to the development of experiences that improve the health and well-being of users globally, expanding Ōura's reach into new markets through partnerships and healthcare initiatives.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver accessible, responsive, and user-centric solutions.
- Take ownership of solutions from design through deployment, monitoring, and documentation, while promoting best practices across the engineering lifecycle.
- Apply expertise to solve ambiguous problems, enhance system architecture, and enable platform scalability for new product capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with the latest security, data privacy, and regulatory standards relevant to health data and B2B solutions.
- Work effectively within a globally distributed, diverse team, adapting to evolving company priorities and technological landscapes.
- Utilize technologies such as TypeScript, React, React Query, Python, GitHub Actions, and Sentry to develop robust solutions.
