The Mater Private Network, a leader in Irish private healthcare, is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the IT team.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Purpose of post:

The Full Stack Developer will contribute to the design, development, and support of secure, scalable digital applications across clinical and patient-facing healthcare systems.

This role is ideal for a developer with strong core engineering foundations who is eager to grow their full stack skills in a complex, regulated environment. Working closely with senior engineers, product teams, and UX designers, the successful candidate will help deliver high-quality, user-centred digital solutions, while developing their technical and professional capabilities.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years professional software development experience.
• Practical experience in:
• Frontend: React, Angular, or Vue; modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Backend: Node.js, Java (Spring Boot), .NET, or Python
• API Development: RESTful services
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB
• Version Control: Git
• Experience contributing to production-grade applications in a team environment.
  
  
  

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker).
• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments.
• Awareness of healthcare systems, interoperability, or clinical workflows.
  
  
  

Salary range: €50,000 to €60,000 depending on experience.
