Job Title: Frontend Developer

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

We build intelligent, scalable backend systems that power real-time logistics operations for enterprise clients. Our infrastructure runs on AWS using modern DevOps practices, microservices architecture, and API-first design principles.

 

The Role:

We're seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to join our engineering team and help build next-generation dashboard applications and enterprise web platforms. You'll work on modern React-based applications that consume GraphQL APIs, handle complex data visualizations, and provide intuitive user experiences for supply chain professionals.

 

Core Responsibilities:

·      Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications using React, Next.js, and Vite

·      Build dynamic dashboards with data visualization libraries (Chart.js, D3.js, Recharts)

·      Integrate with GraphQL and RESTful APIs

·      Implement state management using React Query or Redux

·      Create reusable component libraries using shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS, and Storybook

·      Optimize application performance (code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies)

·      Implement authentication flows with AWS Cognito and JWT token handling

·      Collaborate with backend developers to define API contracts and data models

·      Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code with comprehensive test coverage (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)

·      Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

·      Deploy applications to AWS (S3, CloudFront, ECS) using CI/CD pipelines

 

Experience:

·      2-5 years of professional frontend development experience

·      Proven track record of building production web applications with React and Next.js

·      Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)

·      Experience consuming GraphQL APIs

·      Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility (WCAG 2.1)

 

Technical Skills:

·      Deep understanding of React ecosystem (hooks, context, server components, suspense)

·      Experience with state management libraries (React Query, Redux, Zustand, or MobX)

·      Proficiency in CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, Material-UI, or shadcn/ui)

·      Understanding of performance optimization techniques (memoization, virtualization, code splitting)

·      Experience with version control systems

·      Familiarity with modern build tools and package managers (Vite, npm, yarn, pnpm)

 

Soft Skills:

·      Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

·      Strong attention to detail and code quality

·      Effective communication skills for technical discussions and documentation

·      Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment

·      Collaborative mindset for cross-functional teamwork

 

Education:

·      Bachelor’s degree in computer science from an accredited university

·      International degrees must be evaluated by recognized credential assessment services

 

Work Authorization:

·      Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

 

Compensation and Benefits:

·      $70,000 - $120,000 annually based on experience, AWS knowledge, and technical assessment performance.
