About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic technical team. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in maintaining, upgrading, and supporting the technical systems that underpin Warner Music Group’s global operations. Your responsibilities will blend elements of Software Engineering with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and operational support, requiring a versatile skill set, adaptability, and a customer-centric mindset. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, scalable systems, ensuring their health, resilience, and performance in a production environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, operations, and development, to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and automate workflows, contributing to the continuous evolution of our technical infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software development, particularly with Angular or React frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, including SQL query writing
  • Experience with modern web development practices and tools
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging technical and non-technical discussions
  • Ability to work effectively in distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code in Angular or React
  • Upgrade application frameworks to ensure security, support, and performance enhancements
  • Debug and resolve system errors identified through testing or monitoring tools
  • Monitor production systems, enhance observability, and proactively detect issues
  • Lead root cause analysis for outages and implement corrective measures
  • Perform performance tuning and scalability testing to optimize system responsiveness
  • Collaborate with business and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Automate manual workflows, such as data queries, resource modifications, and job restarts, to improve efficiency
  • Participate in on-call rotations, responding promptly to high-priority incidents
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation processes
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and technical knowledge bases
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process automation and tooling upgrades
