Role Description As a Founding Full Stack Engineer at Antevio, you will design, build, and maintain end-to-end product features for our predictive driver safety and risk intelligence platform. You will work closely with the founders to translate customer and product requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable applications, including web frontends, backend services, APIs, and data integrations. Daily work includes implementing new features, improving system performance, reviewing code, writing tests, and collaborating with data and product teams to integrate predictive models into production systems. You will also contribute to architectural decisions, development standards, and tooling, helping to shape the engineering culture of the company. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbra.

Qualifications

• Strong full stack development skills, with experience in modern frontend frameworks (Nextjs) and backend technologies (Node.js).
• Proficiency in designing and working with RESTful as well as integrating third-party services and telemetry data sources.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, query optimization, and building data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines for deploying and operating production systems.
• Solid software engineering foundations, including version control (Git), automated testing, code reviews, and documentation practices.
• Ability to collaborate in a small, fast-paced startup environment, take ownership of projects, and work cross-functionally with product, data, and business teams.
• Comfort with security, reliability, and performance considerations in building systems that handle sensitive and high-volume operational data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior startup or early-stage product experience is a plus.
• Interest in mobility, safety, insurance, or fleet technology domains, and motivation to contribute to reducing road accidents and improving driver wellbeing.
