Role Description The Full Stack Engineer at Myhomes is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lagos, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing both front-end and back-end components of the Myhomes platform, ensuring smooth user experiences and robust system performance. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to implement new features, integrate third-party services, and enhance existing functionalities. Daily tasks include writing clean, testable code, reviewing peers’ code, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and contributing to architectural decisions that support scalability and security. The engineer will also participate in regular stand-ups, sprint planning, and continuous improvement of development and deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Front-End Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), including building responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience designing and implementing APIs and data models.
• Experience in Full-Stack Development, integrating front-end and back-end systems into cohesive, performant applications.
• Solid understanding of modern web technologies and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar, Node.js or equivalent, RESTful or GraphQL APIs).
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, performance optimization, and scalable architecture for high-traffic web platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and take ownership of deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in real estate, fintech, or marketplace platforms is an advantage.
