About The Role

We are seeking talented Software Engineers at all levels to join our Product and Platform teams. Product-focused engineers work at the intersection of business needs and technical solutions, addressing key customer challenges. Platform-focused engineers develop scalable, reliable, and extensible systems that enable our product teams to innovate faster, deliver high-quality solutions, and maximize customer value.
This position offers a hybrid work model based at our New York City headquarters, with in-office presence required on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Candidates can also be remote from the San Francisco Bay Area or the Greater Toronto Area, providing flexibility to accommodate diverse working preferences.
Our technology stack includes Kotlin (Micronaut, Jooq), Ruby (Rails, Sidekiq), gRPC, protobuf, React Native, AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, and Terraform. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing high-impact applications, building new AI features, defining microservice infrastructure, and creating tools that enhance internal efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in software development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a significant impact
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership and contribute innovative ideas
- Ability to analyze, improve, and optimize system efficiency, scalability, and stability
- Excellent collaboration skills and team-oriented attitude
- Experience with relevant technologies such as Kotlin, Ruby, React Native, AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, or Terraform is preferred
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain large-scale web applications that support small business growth
- Build and enhance AI features to provide innovative solutions for our customers
- Develop and maintain microservice-based infrastructure to ensure system scalability and reliability
- Create tools and solutions that improve internal team workflows and customer value delivery
- Work on core experiences such as frictionless payment systems, tools for increasing earnings per hour, and business management features
- Focus on front-end development to craft engaging and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile platforms
