About The Role

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Angular and JavaScript to join our dynamic technology team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing, developing, and supporting modern, scalable web applications. This role involves working across both front-end and back-end components, primarily focusing on supporting and enhancing existing production web applications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, defect resolution, and implementing incremental feature enhancements as part of a dedicated production support and small development team. Experience with Python and familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services are considered advantageous. The position offers flexibility to work near one of our CGI offices located in Plymouth Meeting, New Brunswick, Lafayette, Cary, New York, or Hartford, or remotely, depending on business needs.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record in Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript. A solid understanding of modern front-end development principles, including component-based architecture and responsive design, is essential. Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs, as well as backend application development and integration, is required. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, object-oriented programming principles, and source control tools such as Git. Familiarity with automated testing, debugging, and application performance tuning is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services, cloud-native application development, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes. Knowledge of Python and experience with relational or NoSQL databases will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable full-stack web applications. You will build responsive and reusable front-end components using Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Developing and integrating RESTful APIs and backend services will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Your role includes participating in application design, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing application performance. Following best practices in software engineering—such as clean coding, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD—is essential. You will also troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Working within an Agile/Scrum environment, you will actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement and delivery of high-quality solutions.
