Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven QA Engineer / Software Tester to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of software products throughout the development lifecycle. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and improving testing processes to deliver high-quality applications that meet business requirements and user expectations.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to identify requirements, define testing strategies, and verify software functionality. You will be involved in analyzing specifications, creating test plans and test cases, executing tests, documenting results, and ensuring issues are tracked through resolution.

Key responsibilities include performing functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and user acceptance testing across web, mobile, and software applications. You will identify, reproduce, document, and prioritize defects while working with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes.

The role also involves supporting test automation initiatives, maintaining testing documentation, monitoring software quality metrics, and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards. You will help ensure that software releases are stable, secure, and aligned with both technical and business requirements.

Additional responsibilities may include participating in requirement reviews, conducting risk assessments, validating software performance, supporting release testing, and recommending improvements to enhance product quality and user experience. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and committed to delivering reliable software solutions through rigorous quality assurance practices.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
• Ability to create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Knowledge of web, mobile, and desktop application testing concepts.
• Ability to identify, document, and communicate software defects clearly and accurately.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
• Understanding of API testing, database validation, and cross-browser testing concepts.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and automated testing frameworks is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other modern software development methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
