* Develop APIs and backend services that enable web and mobile customer journeys across buying, selling, authentication, and grading.

* Own technical architecture and end-to-end delivery of features from design through deployment.

* Provide staff-level technical influence across engineering teams.

* Build and improve complex grading and authentication workflows that support trust, accuracy, and consistency at scale.

* Improve existing systems by identifying opportunities to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.

* Use modern AI tools and techniques to accelerate software development, improve engineering velocity, and explore new development approaches.

* Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship.

* Help raise engineering quality and productivity across teams.

## Required Qualifications

* 7+ years of software engineering experience building web applications, APIs, and distributed systems at scale.

* Experience working at product-driven, technology-focused companies building service-oriented or microservice-based systems.

* 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including serverless and event-driven architectures.

* Experience using modern AI development tools, such as Claude Cowork or Codex, as a significant part of the software development workflow.

* Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, testing, security, and observability.

* Deep proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language.

* Ability and willingness to work across programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java.

* Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional product teams with Product, Design, TPM, and Business partners.

* Experience contributing to requirements, technical tradeoffs, and end-to-end execution.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Familiarity with modern client-side frameworks such as React and Next.js.

* Experience delivering consumer-facing digital experiences.
