About the Role

NextGen Coding Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with extensive full-stack and systems engineering experience. This role is suited to an engineer who has delivered multiple production systems, can work across different technology stacks, and is comfortable taking ownership of technical work from architecture and planning through implementation and deployment.

You will contribute to client projects in a consulting environment, working with frontend and backend technologies, cloud infrastructure, APIs, databases, and distributed systems. The position requires someone who can adapt quickly to unfamiliar codebases, resolve complex technical problems, and deliver production-quality software with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop scalable production software systems.

• Build full-stack applications using modern frontend and backend frameworks.

• Develop APIs, data pipelines, automation systems, and internal business tools.

• Contribute to system architecture, technical planning, and implementation decisions for client engagements.

• Write, review, and maintain production-quality code while following established engineering standards.

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving applications, infrastructure, and distributed systems.

• Work with delivery managers, QA professionals, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable software.

• Document system architecture, technical decisions, and implementation details.

• Take ownership of assigned engineering work and manage delivery independently.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.

• Experience building and maintaining multiple production systems across different industries.

• Strong full-stack engineering experience covering both frontend and backend development.

• Experience designing system architecture and developing scalable applications.

• Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.

• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, unfamiliar codebases, and changing technical requirements.

• Experience working with remote or distributed engineering teams.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with product, design, delivery, and other technical teams.

Technical Skills

Candidates should be comfortable working across a range of modern technologies, including:

• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks.

• Backend: Python, Node.js, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

• Data: PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, data pipelines, and integrations.

• Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, or Azure; Docker; CI/CD pipelines; and cloud deployments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications.

• Experience building automation systems or data platforms.

• A portfolio of production software projects demonstrating technical depth and practical engineering experience.
