About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Dormont Manufacturing Co. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and driving efficiency across production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, experience with manufacturing systems, and a passion for continuous improvement. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with safety standards and compliance regulations relevant to manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing methods and processes to optimize production output.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of process documentation, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track process improvements and operational metrics.
  • Support new product introductions by providing engineering expertise and process validation.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations within the manufacturing facility.
