About Owner
Owner is the AI-native system lo
cal business owners use to su
cceed, starting with restaurants.
We’re building the system that repla
ces the many tools owners use to run their business.
It powers everything from the restaurant’s website, online ordering,
CRM, POS, and more.
Product philosophy
Most small business software makes owners do the work to get what they want: sales growth and profit growth. Owner does the work for them agenti
cally.
Our system drives demand,
converts it, and helps operators run their business day to day. As it improves, the business improves with it.
Using Owner should feel like having a team of great operators,
engineers, and marketers working for you.
Our vision
We’re starting by helping independent restaurants su
cceed online.
But it’s not just restaurants that need our help. Most lo
cal businesses are struggling with these same problems. Huge te
chnology
corporations are taking their
customers, bleeding their profits, and making it hard for them to survive.
On
ce we nail the solution for restaurants – we’ll s
cale it into every other lo
cal business type.
In the future we envision, tens of millions of lo
cal business owners will use our te
chnology to su
cceed in the digital age.

Our traction
Sin
ce 2020, we've generated tens of millions in revenue and pro
cessed over a billion dollars of online orders. 1 in 5 Ameri
cans have used an Owner.
com website.
More importantly, we’ve helped over 20,000 restaurant owners, and saved them nearly $200 million in fees.
Our team
Our team is now in the low hundreds. We’ve got top talent from the most su
ccessful
companies in SMB software, in
cluding: Shopify, HubSpot, DoorDash, Servi
ceTitan, Rappi, Faire and Stripe.
We’ll be s
caling even faster in 2026 to keep pa
ce with our
customer growth.
Where we work
Owner is a remote-first, global
company headquartered in San Fran
cis
co, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person
collaboration at one of our offi
ce lo
cations. Most of our teammates are distributed throughout the globe. Please review the role des

About The Team:
The Guest Life
cy

class="bg-amber-100">marketing agen

class="bg-amber-100">data-driven optimization that even a great agen

cross email, SMS, and push, along with the systems that power segmentation, experimentation, and measurement — so restaurants
can reliably grow repeat orders and lifetime value.
Our work sits at the interse

class="bg-amber-100">data, and deliverability/reliability: we're s

customer

And we're at an infle

campaign
class="bg-amber-100">infrastru

coming together, and that unlo

classi

What You’ll Work On:
- Own high-impact lifecycle initiatives end-to-end (from ambiguous goal → design → build → launch → iteration), spanning guest journeys like activation, reactivation, graduation, and loyalty.
- Build reliable messaging and class="bg-amber-100">data pipelines that power campaign execution (segmentation, scheduling, send-time optimization) across email/SMS/push at scale.
- Raise the bar on deliverability and compliance (domain warmup, provider policies, Twilio registration, throttling/guardrails), ensuring we can send safely while maximizing reach and performance.
- Establish an experimentation + measurement loop for lifecycle: holdouts, incremental lift, attribution quality, and analytics instrumentation that product and class="bg-amber-100">marketing can trust.
- Improve platform observability and operational excellence with SLOs, dashboards, alerting, and incident-ready runbooks for business-critical pipelines.
- Ship AI-assisted capabilities that make lifecycle class="bg-amber-100">marketing more autonomous (e.g., smarter targeting, creative generation, and adaptive campaign optimization), with a bias toward production-ready systems.
- Multiply the team through class="bg-amber-100">technical leadership: set engineering standards, review designs, mentor engineers, and partner cross-functionally with Product, class="bg-amber-100">Data, class="bg-amber-100">Marketing, and other GPV Growth teams.
What We Need:
- Strong class="bg-amber-100">technical leadership and action bias.
Proven ability to drive multi-quarter,
cross-fun

comes.
Hands-on experien

capabilities (LLMs, embeddings, ranking, or ML-adja
cent systems), and a pragmati

- Strong end-to-end ownership.
Ability to take proje
cts from vague problem statements through design, implementation, and produ
ction support.
- Product-oriented engineering judgment.
Able to make tradeoffs that balan
ce speed, quality, and long-term platform leverage in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration.
Ability to align stakeholders and influen

Pay And Benefits
- The estimated starting base salary range for this role is $190K-220K depending on level, location and experience, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package
