About the Role

The company is building core data infrastructure that connects fragmented legacy systems and enables real-time synchronization of critical business information. Engineers work on complex backend challenges involving distributed systems, third-party integrations, cloud infrastructure, and high-scale data processing. This role offers significant ownership and direct impact on products that customers rely on every day. You'll work alongside a small, highly technical team where engineers influence architecture, product direction, and engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs
• Develop integrations with complex third-party and legacy systems
• Work on real-time data synchronization and infrastructure challenges
• Build and maintain cloud-native systems and services
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
• Help shape engineering best practices within a growing team

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of software engineering experience
• Strong backend and/or full-stack engineering background
• Experience working independently with minimal oversight
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Computer Science degree from a highly regarded U.S. or Canadian university, or equivalent demonstrated technical excellence
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills

Required Skills

• Experience at early-stage startups (Seed through Series B)
• Exposure to high-scale backend systems and distributed architectures
• Track record of excellence through academics, internships, startup achievements, competitive programs, or other notable accomplishments
• Strong ownership mentality with a bias toward execution

Pay range and compensation package

Base Salary: $120,000–$200,000
