About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Restaurant Applications team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing rich, interactive user interfaces that serve both consumers and brand operations/marketing teams. Your expertise will help architect scalable front-end systems, ranging from component libraries and data-driven dashboards to A/B testing frameworks. You will work closely with UX designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to deliver seamless, high-quality end-to-end solutions that meet business needs and enhance user engagement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of experience in software engineering, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering high-quality web applications. You should have deep expertise with React, including hooks, context, and modern development patterns. Hands-on experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or Reframe, along with data-fetching strategies like GraphQL or REST, is essential.

A solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3 (including Flexbox and Grid), and CSS-in-JS or utility-first frameworks such as Tailwind is required. You should be proficient in implementing accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles to ensure applications are usable across diverse devices and user needs. Strong UI/UX skills, with an eye for pixel-perfect implementation, are crucial. Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Sketch, and prototyping workflows, will be advantageous.

Additional knowledge of real-time frameworks such as WebSocket and GraphQL Subscriptions, as well as data visualization libraries like D3.js or Recharts, will be beneficial. Experience working directly with customers to gather feedback and iteratively improve applications is highly valued. An interest in learning new technologies such as Clojurescript, Reagent, and Reframe is encouraged to foster continuous growth and innovation within the team.

Responsibilities

Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications that meet business requirements and user expectations.

Lead the architecture of scalable front-end systems, including component libraries and data-driven dashboards.

Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions.

Drive innovation by influencing stakeholders to adopt new products, processes, and development practices.

Enhance brand onboarding and operational workflows by continuously refining and improving application capabilities.

Work on systems that handle millions of voice AI conversations annually, ensuring reliability and performance.

Identify and eliminate sources of inefficiency and toil within systems and processes to optimize development and operational workflows.

Utilize user feedback, analytics, and usability testing to proactively refine UX, leading to measurable improvements in adoption, task completion times, and error reduction.

Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in front-end development and UI/UX design.
