About Citizen Café

Citizen Café is the world's largest online Hebrew school, helping over 15,000 students across 25+ countries learn Hebrew through live lessons and technology.

We're building the next generation of our learning platform and looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help shape products used by thousands of learners every day.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain modern full stack web applications
• Develop new features from concept to production
• Work closely with Product, Design and Engineering
• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs
• Improve performance, reliability and user experience
• Participate in technical discussions and code reviews
• Own features end-to-end

What We're Looking For

Required

• 4+ years of professional Full Stack development experience
• Strong TypeScript experience
• 2+ years with React and Next.js
• Experience building production web applications
• Experience with REST APIs and SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ownership mindset and ability to work independently

Nice to Have

• Node.js
• PostgreSQL

• Tailwind CSS
• Authentication systems
• Startup or product company experience
• Experience building AI-powered features or integrating LLM APIs
