As Vidispine continues to grow, we are looking for a Software Engineer (.NET/C#) to join our R&D team.
You will contribute to the development and enhancement of Vidispine’s media management and workflow solutions. Working collaboratively with engineering and cross-functional teams, you will help build reliable, scalable, and secure software that supports media operations for customers around the world.
This role offers a variety of technical challenges and opportunities to contribute across integrations, backend services, and product development.
Responsibilities
- Develop integrations between Vidispine products and external systems and services.
- Design, develop, and maintain new product features and functionality.
- Develop and enhance backend services and APIs.
- Ensure applications are secure, reliable, scalable, and well maintained.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver solutions.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Support continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and automation.
Skills and Experience
- Experience developing software using C# and .NET.
- Strong knowledge of C# and modern .NET technologies.
- Experience developing backend applications, APIs, or services.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Ability to translate business and user requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Media Asset Management (MAM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), media workflows, broadcasting, or related industries.
- Familiarity with video formats, metadata standards, transcoding, or content supply chain workflows.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of containerization, event-driven architectures, messaging technologies, or CI/CD practices.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience is valued.
