Summary:

• Location: Montreal
• Work Mode: Onsite (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions using Python and React within a dynamic, agile team.
• Leverage Generative AI tools and coding assistants to enhance development velocity and solution quality.
• Collaborate with global teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Participate in scrum meetings, report on project status, and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.
• Learn and apply the company's proprietary frameworks and best practices.
• Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
• Respond proactively to change, mastering new technical and business concepts as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with Python. Proven ability to write optimized, efficient, and clean code.
• Minimum 5 years of UI/UX implementation experience with React.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies and coding assistants.
• Proficiency in RDBMS and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Strong grasp of OOP & Design Patterns with practical use during development.
• Solid working knowledge of Linux/Unix & Shell Scripting.
• Ability to design and implement effective solutions to complex problems.
• Strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and clear communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to write thorough unit tests covering all major logic components.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced database skills, including PL/SQL and query optimization.
• Experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipeline management, containerization, observability tools.
• Familiarity with Layered and Component-based Architecture.
• Scripting expertise in Python, Perl, or Unix shell.
• Exposure to various application types: web, batch, and streaming.
• Experience working in global Agile Scrum teams.
